Pre-Filing Bankruptcy Counseling

Every debtor MUST complete a counseling class before the Bankruptcy case can be filed. Failure to take this class will cause your case to be dismissed. Our office uses “Money Management International”. Our office will set up an account before you make a contact with them.

Counseling sessions are provided, by telephone or through the Internet. Telephone counseling is available 24/7. Counseling sessions are available in Spanish.

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Program

During the Bankruptcy (but before the discharge) the debtor MUST take a money management course. You will not receive your discharge if this class is not complete before the court closes you case. Our office uses “Money Management International ” for this class. Our office will set up an account before you make a contact with them.

Classes will be about 2 hours in length and offered in our 18 Centers for Financial Education as well as by telephonic seminar.
